Typical Application Scenarios for PTFE Demisting Lines

2025-08-30

The core application of PTFE demister systems is "addressing demisting needs in highly corrosive or high-purity process conditions," with common scenarios including:

Chemical Industry: Demisting at the tops of sulfuric acid production towers, hydrochloric acid absorption towers, and organic solvent distillation columns to prevent acid mist/solvent mist from contaminating equipment or polluting the environment via exhaust emissions.
Environmental Industry: Demisters are installed at the outlets of desulfurization towers (wet scrubbing systems) to prevent gypsum slurry droplets from being carried away with flue gas, thus avoiding the occurrence of "gypsum rain." Additionally, demisters are used atop wastewater treatment aeration tanks to minimize the dispersion of odor-laden liquid droplets.
Pharmaceutical/Food Industry: Demisting in traditional Chinese medicine extract evaporation tanks and fermentation tanks used for vaccine production, preventing medicinal liquid droplets from being carried away with steam (which could reduce yield) or contaminating downstream equipment.
New energy industry: In the production of lithium battery materials such as lithium iron phosphate, demisting is performed on the tail gas from acidic reactors to prevent acid mist from corroding pipelines or compromising product purity.
